Gr-20e it will result in some disabled or missing features. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. I chose this item because it suggested that it would control my radiators singly and separate from the main thermostat. It does the job very well. One person found this helpful. This is my second unit, these look to be German imports honwywell all the instruction are in German and the mounting is designed for horizontal rather than vertical as is common on UK TRVs.

Luckily the instruction can be found on the web once it’s set-up you don’t need to look at the display! You can take yoneywell with you when you move, it’s hard to believe it’ll payback for years and years.

I bought three of these in Januaryand they worked very well to start with, switching radiators on and off when I wanted and controlling temperatures well in a large house.

However, in Decemberone failed with an error E3 meaning stuck motor. And now, in February, a second one has failed with the same error. I notice this has happened to other people too so suspect a design or manufacturing fault. Again, Amazon have kindly said they will replace the item FOC – Honeywel cannot fault the Amazon honeywe,l here, but the product itself, although an excellent idea, is let down by the short life until failure.

I have found a Youtube video which identifies how to fix the same problem with a different thermostat, HR This is the honehwell https: Hopefully this may help people with the same problem, although there is obviously some sort of systemic fault with the Honeywell thermostat range. Arrived within 6 days rather than estimated weeks so very pleased.

Very easy to programme heating time and temperature of room to be maintained. Replaced existing thermostat within a few seconds without any special tools. Seems to be maintaining required temperature in the lounge without heating up the room unnecessarily during day when unoccupied.

Hope to reduce my heating bills. Makes a low whirring noise when valve activated to control flow into honeuwell. Will most likely get more of the same in other rooms.

Bit expensive than traditional TRVs but hope to recoup cost soon with reduced energy usage. Time consuming to setup correctly. I have had 6 of these for a couple of years. One had a fault where the battery cover was being moved hondywell by the motor spindle but jammed a bit plastic in it to stop this from happening.

They work well and have two alternate hot and cold periods. Say warm in the evening, cooler in the night, boneywell again in the morning and cool when you are at work. Much better than the single temperature setting of an old style manual thermostat leading to much more comfortable rooms.

Take the time to learn how to honrywell them. Also had these for a few months before getting the E3 error. They are pretty rubbish. It’s a very simple job these things have to do and for them to fail so often is really bad. I like the product when it works – its what happens when it doesn’t that is annoying. I bought 3 of these earlier in the year. Two are working well, I found them reasonably easy to install and they seem to be working as expected and hopefully saving me money on my heating bills.

The honeywepl one started OK.

Over the summer I disconnected it with a view to installing it on a new radiator and valve once the winter weather came back. I replaced the batteries but the display kept on showing ‘E3’ – which the succinct guide says means ‘Motor cannot be moved’. The guide doesn’t help with a meaningful solution.

Amazon seems only to allow a one month period for this but ‘faulty manufacture’ covers a much longer period than this under the law but is not, as far as I can see, catered for on the Amazon website? If you want this, buy only one first and try.

This is bad design. Battery keeper and motor fight and result is continuous booting because keeper is stronger. Or motor throws the keeper away and no electricity. This is maybe worst design I have seen in any product ever. SW might be excellent but rotor is too near batteries. Get fast answers from reviewers.
